2017 was a very hot and dry vintage for our winery. So the fruit has a beautiful concentration that we believe will last multiple decades. Pinot Noir is always the first varietal that we harvest every season, before all the others. You wouldn't normally find this grape grown in Provence - but due to the blue clay we have, Henri decided to plant. Blue Clay is like a sponge and really holds a lot of water. Which Pinot Noir, as a grape...LOVES.
This has very silky tannins, high acidity balanced with ripe fruit due to the climatic conditions of the vintage and also the region. Possibly one of the best vintages since 2007.
